Review of Urban Legend (1998) by Rhys G — 19 Oct 2009
Of all the late 90s post-Scream slashers Urban Legend is one of the better outings. Sure, the parka-hooded killer is no Michael Myers, but the flick has one of the better gimmicks and a decent WBish cast: Alicia Witt, Jared Leto, Rebecca Gayheart, Rebecca Gayheartâ??s crazy lioness hair, Michael Rosenbaum, Joshua Jackson, Tara Reid (okay, that last one ainâ??t so awesome).
Plus, youâ??ve got Brad Dourif, John Neville, and Robert Englund to lend some nice genre cred. The flick gets the job done. A million times better than the I Know What You Did Last Summer movies, or Valentine, or even Screams 2 & 3.
