Review of Urban Justice (2007) by Paul B — 14 Jan 2008
Seagal finally churned out a great little movie. Maybe it's because he had the Producer title on this one...but no body doubles, no voice overs. Seagal is BACK!!! (at your local video store) with Urban Justice.
Finally he dropped the CIA BS and went back to the role that suited him in his better films...a cop. Rounded up a few modestly known actors (Trejo & Griffin) and made a decent film. Some great one liners in here by Seagal and some decently shot action sequences.
Only downer is that althought Seagal is a great Martial artist...not many gang members are...so in a realistic fashion, Seagal easily kicks the crap out of all of them....and the leader of the gang is surprised by this.
Apart from that it was a good action flick, far better than the past 2 or 3 movies Seagal has released...
