Review of Uptown Girls (2003) by John N — 22 Apr 2010
Well golly gee whiz, I was quite surprised at how entertaining I found this movie. I was expecting it to be fluffy, mindless, and fun--and don't get me wrong, it certainly was all of those things. It was slightly more, though.
The character arcs were full and the story was classic storytelling structure; there was a beginning, a middle, and an end, and it flowed and made sense. Pleasantly surprised at what I got--although you will never find it in me to call this a "good movie".
It was surely entertaining.
