Review of Uptown Girls (2003) by Alyssa Sparrow H — 19 May 2011

Is it weird that I... don't really... see this as a comedy? I mean, yeah, there's jokes, but the undertones are just so sad the whole way that I can't think of it as being as lighthearted as most people seem to.

o_O People say the characters aren't likable, but seriously? I don't feel like they're supposed to characters you're supposed to be like, "Yay, I wanna hang out with them!" I freaking feel sorry for them, but I think that makes for a better movie.

I love this movie; I think the characters are great, the script has some amazing lines, and I love Jesse Spencer's songs. <3.
