Review of Uptown Girls (2003) by Chloe E — 11 Nov 2008
Surprisingly good. Brittany Murphy shines as Molly Gunn, and Dakota Fanning is great as the precocious perfectionist Ray. Sure it's formulaic, but it's still very entertaining. The part when Molly says she felt like she was still on the teacups, spinning, like she was never going to get off, made me cry.
Honestly, it's the perfect chick flick--Molly has a great apartment, an unusual pet, fantastic wardrobe, dead parents... really, it's very good. Recommended for a girls' night in. :D.
