Review of Upstream Color (2013) by Craig G — 27 Apr 2013
Shane Carruth's follow-up to Primer is a well made and engrossing film. He shows off his superb directorial talent in this beautiful, abstract and touching piece of cinema Upstream Color explores such themes as finding hope and latching on to people.
The film's cinematography is superb therefore it is a pleasure to watch. Amy Seimetz steals the show as a damaged and somewhat hopeless woman. And Shane Carruth does not fail to satisfy on a performance and directorial level.
Upstream color is a superb piece of experimental cinema, I highly recommend it.
