I can't believe the ratings this film has gotten. I'm not the first to say this so I won't claim that I am, but a huge number of people were obviously too scared to call a dung heap a dung heap.
Pretentious bullshit is what this is. Shane Caruth is obviously a very intelligent man, but this is Terrence Malick wannabe crap. First 25 minutes I was on board. Then it was an incoherent, incohesive mess.
Primer, his first film was by far and away superior to this. He may have used up everything he had. This movie made me angry that I saw it.
