Mesmerizing. Kind of like a cross between "The Tree of Life" (without the heavy handedness) and "Memento" (without the intricate plot) but also totally unlike either one -- I can absolutely see how it might come across as pretentious or pointlessly abstract, but if you pay attention and make connections on your own, it's amazing.
Don't treat it like "Primer" though, because it's meant to be experienced like a dream, not solved like a puzzle.
