Review of Upstream Color (2013) by Luis V — 17 May 2013
After watching this film, some people might say to you that UPSTREAM COLOR, is pretentious; and it might be. But in a world where narrative is fed to you by the spoonfull, in the same consistency, in the same way, every time; UPSTREAM COLOR will leave you thinking about what you have experienced after you watch it.
And that is the word that you should be thinking of: Experience. It's articulate, confounding, profound, obtuse and atmospheric. I could go on and on.
If you have an open mind, and aren't afraid of easy answers then watch this. Take your friends. They might not like it, but, when you're eating pizza or drinking that beer later, you'll definitely be talking about it.
