I'm on the side of the fence with those who really didn't like it. It's not that I didn't get the symbolism, it's definitely original and Carruth is very intelligent and gifted.. I just got absolutely nothing out of watching this particular movie and to me it felt like it was trying too hard to be artistic for the sake of being artistic.

I feel the same way about Lars von Trier's Melancholia. I find myself saying "Ok, I get it already, now can we please move on to something else happening? Anything else? No? We really are going to keep this going then.

Sigh." These types of movies move glacially so it's got to stir up some emotion in me to keep me interested.
