Review of Upside Down (2012) by Victorio D — 10 Feb 2013

This is a film that has a good concept but was not executed well. The direction in which this film went thru gave so much attention to the emotional part of the relationship and gave little attention to actually telling the story. The story which is flawed and not exactly original missed out some details on a couple of very important things like the twist and the ending of it. As an audience you will wonder if you missed out some things and feel a little deprived. You come into the theater and you expect to be mentally blown away but all you get is a lot of mush because it is a romantic of star-crossed lovers who are literally worlds apart.

What I love about this film is the world or should I say worlds they created. And the cinematography that gave lot of texture to these two different worlds. Would I recommend this film, sure if you are the type of lover who is all heart and less mind.
