Review of Upside Down (2012) by Indra W — 20 Feb 2013
A simple sci-fi premise provides the base for a typical star-crossed lovers story and a series of magnificent visuals of two worlds occupying each other's sky and, occasionally, ceilings. The director outdoes himself with them, and I, for one, am not complaining! There are, of course, inconsistencies and plot holes, but they are kept below annoying level.
Timothy Spall's supporting role is -supposedly- crucial to the story, but it's his heartwarming presence that most benefits the film.
