Review of Upside Down (2012) by Thomas M — 02 Jul 2013
This movie is the very definition of pretentious, but is almost pretty enough to get away with it. Almost. Generally movies require some suspension of disbelief, but this fantasy construction takes it to a level where what you take away in conversation from the viewing will be mostly based on how "impossible" it all was, rather than anything about the story, which would be called out for its "improbability" if it weren't so lost in that "impossibility.
" Still, it's not as bad as most of what's being produced in the mainstream nowadays.
