There are a quite a few semi-negative reviews that allude to the "gravity" of this movie, and it's characters' development. The fact remains, when watching a movie, that there is a question regarding it's watchable factor.

This movie is visually stunning, at times, and one can easily see the final product as a masterpiece in art direction. As for the characters - the upside down twist on the Romeo and Juliet factor of forbidden love brings is not new, but Dunst and Sturgess do a very fine job of making you want them to be together.

Is the movie good? Yes, on many levels. Is the movie bad? No, but it's not perfect. I often wonder, when reading negative reviews, what the people were thinking when writing them. Or what they were expecting when watching a film.

'Upside Down' is worth watching.
