Review of Upside Down (2012) by Michael N — 07 Oct 2013

Going into this movie I felt that the director has a lot of potential to deliver a very unique film as nothing quite like this was done. However given my technical side, especially with the studies in Physics and Mathematics, the movie essentially bends and break all known rules to create the movie.

I mean really, reverse matter? Laws of gravity are so wrong on every level. Also at the ending how do the two cities stay lined up for so long? The movie explained them as different planets, having the same sun but different gravities.

The planets would still rotate upon its axis wouldn't it? The love story also is very weak. I am just not a Kirsten Dunst fan at all even when she was in Spiderman I mean something about her acting and especially her fake acting smile just make me want to throw up.

Jim Sturgess and Timothy Spall had decent acting but I can't get over the basics of the film. I would skip even if this was a free film.
