Review of Up the Yangtze (2007) by Marrteen B — 24 Feb 2008
Really loved this sober, intimate documentary showing in a crude light how great is the inequality in China, through a cruise on the Yantze River, as seen by a young girl from a poor family of peasants.
Disturbing also that such the construction of this huge dam might not even be justified by the electrical power it generates. Rien n'est impuni, et "science sans conscience n'est que ruine de l'âme" - je recommande ce film à tous !
