Review of Up in the Air (2009) by Jason E — 20 Oct 2012
The single best film of 2009! We find George Clooney in another role that makes you feel for the lead. Simply, Clooney goes around firing people, it's the impact on the lives of those fired and those involved including Clooney, his estranged family, and his smart, keen eyed co worker who is forced to learn the ins and outs of the job, that are the real strong points of the film.
As the journey embarks, Clooney finds himself questioning, does he really want to keep up this life and die alone? "Everyone, undoubtedly, dies alone in the end," Clooney replies to his co worker.
It is a philosophical and highly energetic film with intelligent dialogue to keep everyone within the action of the film and really make you feel for characters. It is one of the greatest films I have ever seen and I highly reccommend it for those looking for a touching comedy that leaps and bounds over past barriers one may find in the darkened comedy genre.
A must see!
