At least Up From the Depths doesn't take itself too seriously (I liked Sam Bottoms name in the opening credit hula dancer's shaking behinds). I also love how people run like crazy on shore to get away from the giant killer fish (which is cheaper looking that the shark in Jaws:The Revenge).
