Review of Up and Down (2004) by Carol D — 11 Dec 2007
Its a good comedy that is looking at how Czechs cope after the collapse of the soviet state, The son who escaped to Australia visits his mum and his father who has a new girlfriend shows this clearly. The major underlining theme is immigration, which is nothing peculiar to the Czech Republic, This is a hot political debate all over Europe.
