Review of Untraceable (2008) by Colin K — 26 Dec 2009
Take a mildly interesting premise, add a superstar agent who uses oddly fallacious logic to arrive at her conclusions, then throw in a handful of scenes that don't really seem sure about where they want to go. Build up to a predictably anticlimactic ending, and serve on a bed of kidnapping, voyeurism, and inventive murders. Voila! You have a movie called Untraceable.
The story itself is very believable if you can look past the large number of mostly minor flaws. As a crime thriller, Untraceable is watchable and even somewhat enjoyable. If you're looking for great drama and/or nonstop action, however, look elsewhere. Overall, I'd give this one a generous 64.
