Review of Untraceable (2008) by Mandy V — 23 Jan 2010
The idea of this movie is very well done, a serial killer through the internet, the more hits, the faster the victim dies.
But it still disappointed me, I expected a better movie.
First of all, Diane Lane was not that good, she had not a very difficult role, every reasonable actress should can play that kind of role, but she wasn't great.
Second, some scenes are too elaborate, others go too fast. An example from a scene which was too fast I think, what happened after the call with Griffin.
Third, the filming could have been better. Some parts looked like they have been filmed by some amateurs.
On the other hand, the ending was very good. Better than I expected. Of course it was a bit predictable, but that didn't bother me. The good thing of this movie is that it shows us something, namely how bad mankind is. We will do everything for the media, drama and sensation. Something which was very clear in Untraceable.
