Review of Until the Light Takes Us (2008) by Corey P — 18 Feb 2010
A bit disappointing, it seemed hypercommercialized and pretentious, instead of focusing so much on poser songs and art galleries, they should've delved into the underworld and black metal, exploring its roots and status today.
Anyone can get a camera and talk to Fenriz, he's the fucking man, but the film emphasized his presence too much. Their interviews with Varg Vikernes and Hellhammer were interesting, but as a black metal fan, I felt this territory has already been covered many times before.
Lords of Chaos should be better.
