Review of Until Death (2007) by Mithun G — 17 Aug 2007
I was pleasantly suprised with Van Damme's latest, 'Until Death'. This crime/drama/action flick has Van Damme playing a crooked cop addicted to heroin, who is put in a coma, and awakens to set all his previous wrongs right.
Simon Fellows direction makes this low budget actioneer feel like it was intended for the big screen. Van Damme steals the show here, proving not only is he in much better shape than rival Seagal, but he also is putting much more effort into his current flicks.
Van Damme takes a beating in this one, and even tries to do a lot more styles of acting; a pleasant change from the Van Damme movies of yesterday. Recommended for Van Damme fans of yesteryear and today.
