This has got to be one of the most disturbing films I've ever seen. Very thought-provoking - and very very unpleasant. In my opinion, this is the most difficult role I've ever seen Jackson perform.
On several levels, the fillm illustrates how evil numbs and how fear imprisons and dehumanizes in the most horrible and ... unthinkable ways. This is about as far from a feel-good movie as you can ever get.
But worthwhile (although I don't think I could stand watching it twice).
