Review of Unthinkable (2007) by Ramesh M — 13 Oct 2012
A surprisingly thought provoking drama based around the so called war on terror, torture and the process of law. An interesting cast featuring the always dependable Michael Sheen, the occasionally reliable Carrie-Ann Moss and the completely random Samuel L Jackson add a little class the plot (bombs have been planted, the bomber is available for interrogation in a limited window).
The film does fairly well presenting ambiguity around how far should the state and the individuals who work for it go to save the many above the few. While the ideas are strong and the performances decent, it's not the most gripping movie ever, but a cut above most 'stop the bomb' movies.
