Review of Unthinkable (2007) by Brian W — 06 Nov 2012
Unthinkable was able to bring up the controversial topic of torture in a way that was some what less than creative. The plot, acting, and dialogue are satisfactory, but this film just lacked creativity.
The film turned into a hour long argument over how far we can go in order to keep our nation safe. That is not saying this was bad, but it did start to get tedious after a while. Samuel L. Jackson was perfect for the part of H.
What Jackson brings to the table is a intense, hard, and no B.S attitude that few actors can pull off. Unthinkable succeeded in entertaining me while also addressing strong moral issues in our society.
