Review of Unstoppable (2010) by Lukas Z — 29 Jan 2012
Unstoppable does everything it can with its time, and succeeds greatly, achieving a thrilling, exciting and thoroughly entertaining action movie. A train is out of control and it is up to Railway Workers Frank (Washington) and Will (Pine) to put it into submission.
What is great is that just when you think the coast is clear, brand new problems arise while keeping the biggest and most troubling situation still at hand. Unstoppable makes a superb use of its time and does not waste a single moment with its dangerous and nail biting stunts to the utter sense wonder of how each new problem will be solved.
Now there are human stories to be found from the main leads of the movie but don't expect anything with too much depth, even though it is still good to have them. Unstoppable is a near perfect action movie giving the edge of the seat thrills that you want and while you might want more out of the human stories, you'll be repaid with what the movie can come up with as it throws everything it can think of which results in loud and amazing scenes that will leave you satisfied.
