Review of Unstoppable (2010) by Simon H — 09 Mar 2014
This movie consisted of zooming in and out dramatically while much didn't really happen.
I don't know why they had to pan, zoom, and focus every ten damn seconds just to make the film slightly exciting, oh wait that is because the movie is horribly boring.
It is about a run away train in PA that is "unstoppable". It played out the same generic way any film like this would play out.
The unlikely heroes that come to save the day- check.
Events that show how dramatic the situation is- check.
Close calls in which everything almost goes out control- check.
A love story intertwined that somehow becomes resolved out of the havoc- check.
The good guys save the day with minimal losses- check.
The movie was boring and predictable. Being based on a true story doesn't make in any less so.
Besides fairly good acting and a high budget, was about the most going for this movie.
Speed did this same thing, but a lot better.
