Review of Unstoppable (2010) by Sandz — 31 Dec 2010
A film about a runaway train based on a true story and laden with over produced cliches at every turn? That certainly is an accurate description of this piece of Scott hokum. What it fails to mention is the genius casting of Pine and Washington in the central roles.
The genius of their pairing sneaks up on you and by the mid way point you find yourself thoroughly invested in the events that unfold. What should be a pointless film turns out to be possibly the years most entertaining.
This is one train nobody should miss.
