Review of Unleashed (2005) by Tomas B — 09 Dec 2010
Most of the characters are a little one-dimensional(Hello. I'm Morgan Freeman, the unflinchingly wise old black man who always has something whimsical to add to a situation. Hello. I'm Bob Hoskins, the slimy cockney asshole), but Jet Li is surprisingly good in this--it seems to be that role that is perfectly suited for his acting limitations to actually extract a good performance--and basically the whole thing is a bit of an overly-touchy and saccharine.
but consistently enjoyable, drama with some virtuosic fight scenes with excellent choreography, direction, and execution.
