The story grabs you by the heart and just does not let go.. Its most distinguishing feature is the very sharp contrast of violence and kindliness that are both embodied in the character of Danny..

The actors are marvelous, from Hoskins to Freeman and beyond, they all did an amazing job at putting this movie together.. Jet Li, especially, gives a performance of lasting value..

I can only highly recommend that you go out of your way to see it, as I have. It is a movie that will never fail to literally bring the tears flowing from my eyes, its effect being that profound on the attentive viewer.
