I won't say the first two minutes of the movie are worth the price of admission, but it is pretty close. "Unleashed" might be somewhat ridiculous in premise, but what it lacks in that department it more then makes up with some amazing martial arts sequences that will make people jump out of their seats from the shear brutality. This isn't the super pretty martial arts, this is the brutal, hard hitting, anything goes sort of fighting. Also unlike most action movies that have come out recently, you can actually see the action.

About the cast. Morgan Freeman is one of a few actors that in my opinion is very good at choosing movies. He rarely appears in a bad movie, or he makes the movie good by appearing in it. Here, beforehand, I had my doubts. Once again he proves me wrong. The movie is great, and he was great as the blind Sam. Jet Li got to show that he could do more than the martial arts, and proved he could do it well too. And finally Bob Hoskins, Does an absolute tremendous job as the "villain".

Unleashed succeeds on many levels. It has action, impressive fight scenes, that feeling of tragedy. The film never tries too hard and I feel it just asks its audience to enjoy it for what it is â" and I certainly did exactly that.
