Jet li is superb, clever and accomplished the role of a childlike person abused as a slave who's trained to kill. finally gives vengence to his name and mom after his "master" (Bob Hopskins) murders his mother a pianist rising to higher levels in her career, li is taken back by a piano tuner (Morgan freeman) when mistakenly crossiing paths.

Li learns love and feels passion, he fights for the life he deserves and I enjoyed watching him get to that.
