Review of Unknown (2011) by Stephen M — 25 Feb 2008
In an abandon chemical warehouse, five men awake to amnesia of their identities and very little recollection on how they ended up in that position. Through time they must deduct on how they got there and who they really are before time is up. Slowly then begin to piece a mysterious puzzle of what had happen and how they arrived in the predicament they are in. But can the five strangers complete the puzzle and escape the locked warehouse they are in before there captives return? Unknown is a race against the clock with fear and mystery embedded as the movies creepy elements.
Unknown is a suspense-thriller that uses some key elements that made other movies extremely popular. When the movie starts, the viewer fells they are in the Saw movies with the waking up to no recollection of what has happened in a remote location with no way out. Through a mix of the Usual Suspects and you have what is called Unknown. The movie though not totally original, makes the viewer think and keeps the suspense throughout the movie. The acting is superb along with direction. Though many fault the script for the lack of originality the movie is presenting, the actors do a solid performance to sell the script they are handed. Unknown receives four hallucinogens out of five for the edge of your set thinking man?s thrill ride the movie presents.
