Review of Unknown (1972) by Jimmy C — 02 Aug 2007
It feels a bit like Saw, in regards the characters finding themselves in situations and have to somehow try to figure out how they got where they are, and why. The thing that I love about this movie is that it seems like it was very low-budget.
I love movies that rely entirely on the plot, and not big action sequences and flashy sets. The acting is above par with some very well known names, and some not so well known names. I actually found most of the film humorous because of the interactions between the men trapped with failing memories.
Usually I hate twist endings or movies that mislead you until the last 5 minutes(M. Night Shyamalan in particular), but this twist ending fitted the movie and I didnt feel cheated.
