(2009) Universal Soldier: Regeneration.
ACTION.
This rating is not because I give it a positive rating but is more like that I could actually see myself wanting to own this movie because of some impressive 'action' scenes in it- if one were to get past the first hour which has Van Damme doing absolutely nothing until the last 25 minutes!
The plot consists of a very long introduction which could've been trimmed which has some kidnappers kidnapping some high official's daughter only to exchange her freedom for a release of some poitical prisoners. And if the demands are not met then they're going to restart the whole chernobyl again! While this was happening alot of the focus was spent on the other "Uni-Soldiers" between the two sides of the kidnappers and the good guys! And it wasn't until all the uni-soldiers on the good guy side were to be terminated as well as some Russian military soldiers which some high officail decided to bring back one of the original or the good guy Uni soldier who is played by Van Damme!! All this occured from the first hour- sheesh!
Dolph Lundgren also returns as one of the original 'Uni-soldiers' and was not shown very much! This movie doesn't make a whole lot of sense such as after Dolph Lundgren kills the more superior 'uni soldier's' master and creater, I don't understand why he doesn't go after Dolph Lundgren and facing Van Damme instead!
2.5 out of 4.
