Review of Universal Soldier (1992) by Wesley G — 10 Dec 2009
I actually respected Jean-Claude Van Damme's performance in this one, and I have only said that once before. I didn't even realize that Dolph Lundgren had a big role in this either. Not a bad early film for Emmerich, the plot was well executed, and Lundgren demonstrated the post traumatic stressed Sergeant carrying the old 'Nam grudge against Van Damme.
Curious to see how they continue the story for two more films.
