Vintage Van Damme is many ways and exciting in some, Universal Soldier is a watchable action flick. I've never expected a Van Damme movie to have a plot that helps towards the film but in this one its actually a good theme.
Soldiers bein brought back to life into robots yes sounds a bit overdone and Terminator style rip off but its set out really well and even acted really well too (suprised), Fight scenes and special effects were a hit, the humour was a miss, pointless jokes, zero percent humour, could of done without.
Very Van damme style no different from him, one of his better movies, watchable when its on TV. But nothing really to mark out for, it comes and goes.
