Review of United 93 (2006) by Dennism. — 03 May 2006
An excellent, restrained, intelligent improvisation -- crafted together from the cell phone transcripts, operator notes, cockpit tapes, FAA snippets, surviving sponse interviews who listened on the other end of the tense phone line.
I loved that there was little or no "mood music", no sentimental speeches... and the hand held shots gave me the feeling of witnessing the ordinary becoming extraordinary. It is a subtling chilling film about such a sensitive event.
Breath deep and be brave and just watch the morning on Flight 93 unfold. As for all the negative "2" votes by John B and JJ and John L... (maybe all the same guy?) Perhaps the Johns of this world shouldn't see it.
But if your name is anything else...
