Review of unINDIAN (2015) by Sia S — 04 Aug 2016
UNindian is a heartwarming charmer of an Indian single mother with a young daughter and parents(as Indian as they can be). Bret lee(already a favorite of many) comes into her life and falls for her simplicity immediately.
This movie shows the struggle a single mother has to go through in society and even in her family all because she fell in love and that to someone from a different religion. I wasn't expecting much of a film, but I was pleasantly surprised.
The film sped along with me never looking at my watch and I enjoyed every second of the film. OK so the story line is nothing new, and the classic story lines are contained within the film but it's all done very funnily, and with a breath of fresh air.
The film moves very fast and keeps the audience entertained. The occasional funny moments are a good chuckle and not some poor attempt at humor. Thus, if you're looking for a film that is easygoing and uplifting in its demeanor, this is it.
