Review of Unfriended (2015) by Gentm2015 — 22 Sep 2015
Unfriended is a really good and different found footage movie. This whole movie takes place on a computer screen which is something really rare and unseen before.
For starters everyone on this movie does a good job, especially the main girl who leads the movie Shelley Hennig, she shows so much emotion throughout and really sells her role. Some performances are of course weaker than the others but not even one of them is too weak.
The running time I think it's perfect and so is the pacing, never did I feel like the movie is dragging on,or going on for to long because it keeps you intrigued until the very end.
I also really like the way this movie was shot because it really made it an unique experience and it sticks with you even after the movie. It especially works because it's modern and it's happening now, this is the technology that we use everyday.
The main problem with the movie though are its characters,as they are so cliche written. You have the main cute girl that we're supposed to root for and her boyfriend,Then there's the technology guy the **** and the **** pretty sure that everyone who has ever seen a horror movie knows pretty well how it goes down.
But besides that I can't really find another big flaw because this movie either way it's pretty good and very well done, and I really enjoyed it.Though Insidious Chapter 3 is a little bit better I honestly think that this movie is better than It Follows but either way I liked the three of them and I'm glad that horror movies are good again.
