Review of Unfriended (2014) by Danny R — 25 Jul 2015
Levan Gabriadze's effective horror tale of revenge from beyond the grave. About an online group of six teenagers who's Skype session gets interrupted by a mysterious supernatural force that makes them take part in a series of sadistic games or they will meet with a grisly violent death.
Could this unseen interloper be the poor girl that these heartless kids cyberbullied into committing suicide a year before? Well there in lies the tale. Directed with technical finesse by Lavan Gabriadze, with good performances from a game cast that includes Heather Sossaman, Matthew Bohrer, Courtney Halverson, Shelley Henning, Moses Jacob Storm, and Will Peltrz.
Well-crafted and suspenseful with some shocking, brutal violence which should please the grindhouse crowd. Recommended.
