Review of Unfriended (2014) by John T — 07 Aug 2015
A group of shitty kids pick on a girl who ends up killing herself because of it. Later they are haunted by the ghost who tortures and kills them all.
This is why it sucks. The acting isn't great, but it isn't a deal breaker. The problem is the whole thing is filmed through webcams. But even that can be overlooked, but it's as if they tried to make this movie 10 years ago and on shitty MACs. The quality of the cameras are so much worse than anything we have now. You can periscope with better quality with someone in a car. They still used chat roulette (which I don't know if that even still exists). It took 30 seconds to download a picture. Jesus, is this dial up? Each stroke of the keyboard was painfully slow. It didn't add to suspense, it just added to annoyance. They could have made this movie last 10 minutes, but everything was drawn out to the point of insane annoyance and now I want an hour and 15 minutes of my life back (7 minutes was probably worth watching).
