Review of Unfriended (2014) by Sa W — 11 Aug 2015
The "big reveal" leaves a lot to be desired, and as with any horror/thriller, the plotholes are everywhere and easily spotted. But what this film does is further the idea started by Cabin in the Woods in trying to present horror films in a different way, and for that it should be commended.
No the story won't shock you, but the movie does a more than adequate job keeping you on the edge of your seat, waiting for something to jump up and do the job of scaring you. While you'll have alot of moments that lead you to ask how? and why?, if you take the movie at face value, you'll be entertained; and that's mostly in part in the way the presentation of the whole film is laid out. definiltely a current and modern feel that deserve consideration for daring to be something other than just another horror flick.
