Review of Unfriended (2014) by Matt B — 23 May 2016

I saw Unfriended as a double feature w/ It Follows last spring at a local drive-in. My expectations were not high for either but I really wanted a good horror double feature. There's really not much to say about Unfriended. I think it was a good idea wasted on a bland story and flat characters. Between the yell-back and forth dialogue and the laughably bad (and bland) death scenes, this movie wore on me fast. I did have to admire the technical aspect of this movie and the work it took to compose and edit it all together in real time but other than that there's not too much more positives I can bring up. I laughed pretty hard at the blender scene, wouldn't call it an absolute waste of time.
