Review of Unfriended (2014) by Syed R — 04 Aug 2015
I gotta say if there was anything that impressed me, it was the concept. They made an entire film through a single macbook without cutting away. They also use real life resources and social media like Skype, Facebook, Google, liveleak, ect, ect which adds a lot.
The story itself was kinda neat, a ghost in a computer wanting revenge. The only downfall to this movie was the kids in this movie. Annoying as hell doesn't cut it. It's like watching a Friday the 13th movie where Jason is invisible and can only type or send pictures and all we see on screen are the shitty teenagers dying one by one.
Sure, you get to see them get killed, but by having your killer not be seen at all weakens the punch. Overall, it's not bad unless if you can't stomach teenagers acting like real shitty teenagers.
Hopefully somebody can take this concept and make a much better film.
