Review of Unfriended (2014) by Brevin S — 29 Dec 2015
Not really when did this happen. I used to never be able to imagine a horror movie being in my top 10. Well guess what now I have to think again because Unfreinded may end up somewhere in there. I tend to not see myself as a horror guy but this film is actually kinda smart in more ways the one. I find myself peaking in to see ending first before I looked in awe as it found myself so mesmerized that I had to check it out. And I am glad I did. A film that I would of never watched in my life managed to take me for a spin.
Get ready to be afraid to get on Skype ever again cause Laura Barns is going to be after you. This is a film that does so much right and is made for nothing. However my biggest worry is that they will do more of these, and to that I say.."No!!" I mean seriously don't ruin what you have here by trying to continue the story. It is a really exceptionally crafted horror movie right now and it should stay that. It is undoubtedly one of a kind.
This is a story about revenge and pain and that sometimes saying sorry isn't good enough. There are just so many layers to this film that you have to see it a few times to get everything. I myself have watched Unfriended at least four times now and even own it on DVD and video. It is quite the enjoyable film to the point were it is being compared to the other hit horror film known "It Follows" which is a different type of non traditional horror film. This film should be honored by such high recognition.
Great job!!
