Review of Unforgiven (1992) by Ryan G — 14 Jan 2011
Eastwood is mesmerising! :) The final scene, more than any other moment I have seen in film, is a place where you cannot take your eyes off the screen, for Eastwood's persona is truly larger than life.
Overall, the film tries to uncover the dark edge of the old west, and destroy some of the romanticism we have still of noble gunslingers. Everyone here carries baggage, which weighs on them in different ways. In perhaps the most violent western ever filmed, we see that all actions have consequences, some that scar the soul forever.
