Review of Unforgiven (1992) by Sebastian T — 07 Mar 2011
A tad predictable, but great performances and characters as well, especially Gene Hackman's. I'm partial to the badass persona of Eastwood's characters and Westerns, but I could recommend this movie to most people.
A big theme about this movie is imperfection, and while it certainly pays hommage to the classic Spaghetti Westerns which starred Clint Eastwood, much of the characters are contrary to the tough-guy, perfect badass counterparts of the 60's Western era and in Unforgiven, their imperfections are showcased and make this a special Western in its own right.
