Review of Unforgiven (1992) by Joe W — 20 Aug 2011
If ever there was a film character that greatly shaped my personality, it was Gene Hackman in this movie. This is one of the rare movies that can turn the typical "villain" into someone you can sympathize with.
Eastwood is fantastic, as is the always reliable Morgan Freeman. Hackman's dedication to using both charm and intimidation to push his beliefs about what is "right" really makes this movie for me personally.
It's also created the type of person I am and have always wanted to be.
